MEET DR. CHRISTINE C. EKENGA
Christine C. Ekenga, PhD, MPH works to promote healthy and sustainable environments for all at home, at work, and in community. Dr. Ekenga is a Rollins Assistant Professor of Environmental Health at the Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. Her research primarily focuses on investigating the contributions of environmental and occupational factors to human health and well-being, as well as the prevention and management of chronic diseases.

Dr. Ekenga and her research team utilize quantitative, mixed-methods, and community-engaged approaches to generate evidence-based solutions to complex public health challenges. Their research topics include chronic disease epidemiology, extreme weather and health, and community-engaged health promotion.
The Ekenga Research Group is committed to conducting inclusive and actionable research that advances health outcomes in medically underserved communities. They are currently recruiting new team members and invite undergraduate and graduate students to apply.
